Work With Us

Working at Burlington House School

Working at Burlington House School means joining a warm, specialist community where every member of staff plays a part in helping each child to thrive. We are a school that is mainstream in structure yet specialist in nature, supporting pupils with specific learning differences across our Prep, Senior and Sixth Form sites. If you would like to teach or support young people in a school that knows each pupil as an individual, we would be glad to hear from you.

A friendly community where staff know every child

The size and warmth of the school is what our staff tell us makes it special. Here at Burlington House School, we recognise the importance of every child’s individual educational journey, and we pride ourselves on the friendly environment that prevails throughout the school. With relatively small pupil numbers, staff find that they come to know all the children, not only those they teach.

What we ask of our staff

Every member of staff is expected to contribute to the ethos of the school. That means making the educational journey for each child stimulating, enjoyable, challenging and tailored, whatever their starting point. In return, you will join a team of teachers, therapists and support colleagues who share a genuine commitment to specialist education.

Our commitment to safeguarding

Burlington House School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, and expects all staff to share this commitment. All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including checks with previous employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

A fair and equal employer

We aim to be a fair employer and are committed to equal opportunities. Burlington House School does not discriminate against employees on the basis of gender, ethnic origin, disability or age.
