At Burlington House School we understand that every pupil is different, and that you know your child better than anyone. That is why our teaching is tailored to the individual, and why we put you and your child’s needs at the centre of everything we do. Since 1998 we have given pupils with specific learning differences the space to learn, grow and become confident young adults.
More than academic performance
The Burlington House School experience is about much more than academic performance. We are here to help raise independent, confident, inspiring young adults who can reach their potential in whatever path they choose. We are extremely proud that our pupils achieve more with us than they might once have believed possible.
Alongside that growth in confidence, natural abilities and self-esteem, our pupils go on to succeed in further and higher education, and to realise their professional ambitions. We hope you will join us on that journey, so that every child has the chance to achieve.
Our ethos and aims
Everything we do at Burlington House School honours a small number of guiding aims. From designing the curriculum and assessing pupils, to the casual conversations at lunchtime and break, we always bear in mind the three aims at the heart of the school: to support the achievement of every pupil’s full academic potential; to develop and nurture their self-esteem, skills and natural abilities; and to motivate them towards independence in learning and everyday life.
A record we are proud of
Our results show what becomes possible when teaching is built around the individual. We are one of the country’s leading specialist schools for pupils with specific learning differences, with outcomes that place us in the top 1% nationally for value-added (Fischer Family Trust, 2025). Our most recent independent inspection rated the school Excellent in every category, and the Good Schools Guide has described Burlington House as “London’s gold-standard for specialist education”.
