Celebrating Our GCSE and A-Level Results 2025

The 2025 GCSE and A-Level results at Burlington House School once again show what can be achieved when neurodiverse young people are supported, understood and encouraged to thrive.

GCSE Results

Our Year 11 pupils have done brilliantly. This year we achieved a 92 per cent Grade 9–4 pass rate, up from 86 per cent last year. Even more impressively, 42 per cent of grades were at 7–9, compared to 30 per cent last year. Pupils sat exams in 18 different subjects, which is the widest range we have ever offered.

There are some highlights we are especially proud of:

  • 100 per cent of pupils passed English Language and Literature, a remarkable achievement in a school where literacy is often the biggest hurdle.

  • In Maths, 78 per cent achieved a Grade 9–4, a big rise from 63 per cent last year.

  • BTEC Level 2 courses saw a 100 per cent pass rate, with over half at Merit or Distinction.

Sixth Form Results

Our Sixth Formers have also impressed us with another strong year of outcomes. This year we achieved a 96 per cent A-Level pass rate, with 41 per cent of grades at A–B* across subjects such as English Literature, Fine Art, Media Studies, Film Studies, Psychology and Sociology.

Our BTEC Level 3 students also did brilliantly, achieving a 100 per cent pass rate, with 53 per cent at Distinction or Distinction*. These results mean our students are now heading to Russell Group universities, creative colleges and specialist apprenticeships.

Why This Matters

At Burlington House we are proud to be a neurodiversity specialist school. Many of our pupils are dyslexic, dyspraxic, dyscalculic or have ADHD. While these challenges can hold young people back in other settings, here they are recognised, supported and celebrated.

This year’s results prove that with the right environment, neurodiverse learners can excel and, as these outcomes show, often surpass expectations.

It is worth noting that nationally this year around 67 per cent of GCSE entries achieved a Grade 4 or above, compared with our 92 per cent. At A-Level, 28 per cent of grades were A–A* nationally, compared with 41 per cent of our results at A–B*.

These comparisons are not the main story, but they do highlight just how well Burlington House pupils are doing.
