OCR Creative iMedia Level 1/2
Specification: Pupils will follow the OCR Level 1 & 2 specification in Creative iMedia, which is equivalent in size and level to one GCSE. It consists of one externally-assessed, synoptic unit and two non-examined assessment (NEA) units, which are assessed internally and moderated externally.

As this is not a GCSE, grading is calculated a little differently with rough guidance shown below. The award is given at either a Level 1 or Level 2, with a grading of Pass, Merit or Distinction.

Where can this course take me?
Learners will gain a variety of academic skills and practical skills. Academic skills include research, extended writing, prioritising information and referencing. Practical skills include idea generation, communication and design.
This course may allow for further study in Media, Art and Design, and ICT at Level 3. Learners will have a variety of skills which would be required for entry level work in the Creative Media industry.
